MARATHON SAIL & POWER SQUADRON
MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
Membership into the United States Power Squadron, and our affiliated local Marathon Squadron, is open to those who have been trained in safe boating and seamanship.
Those who have taken our Public Boating Course, or equivalent training and testing, are eligible for membership. This includes those who have passed similar U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary boating courses, some State Boating Courses, and USCG licensed Captains. If you believe you already qualify for membership and would like to discuss it further,
Benefits of membership include the availability of advanced level boating classes in seamanship, piloting, celestial navigation and a wide selection of ancillary courses. Members enjoy participating in local squadron boating rendezvous' and cruises, as well as social functions with like minded individuals. Our monthly dinner meetings include speakers on a wide variety of interesting marine related topics. In the squadron, you'll enjoy the camaraderie of others who enjoy boating and spending time on the water. We include all types - - sailors, powerboaters, fisherman, cruisers, divers, and some of us have no boats at all!
