Jessica shows off the stowaway tree frog in the makeshift terrarium (The white belly shows against the green leaves). Over the next week or two we eventually ended up with THREE of these tree frogs. I never thought I could become proficient at catching large mosquitoes and flies alive and kicking to feed the frogs! They bark like small dogs. Now we have 3 North Carolinian Stowaway Tree Frogs, a Cuban Turtle and 2 Black Labrador Retrievers.
The frogs must have jumped aboard at our anchorage in Broad Creek just South of Coinjack - the night of the severe storms, the quiet and stars that followed, and the marshes full of tree frogs barking.
